Buxted Camouflaged Type 24

‹ Return to Pillbox Camouflage

A Shellproof Type 24 at Buxted facing the River Uck, this pillbox has a pitched roof made from a thin concrete based mix supported by timbers . The defence still bears traces of disruptive camouflage painting.
It was reportedly constructed by a firm that specialised in building farm barns.
