Pickett-Hamilton Fort<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The former WWII airfield at Llandow, South Wales, has recently been earmarked for development, and many of the surviving wartime structures are likely to be destroyed.\u00a0One such structure was the top half of a Pickett-Hamilton Fort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I spoke to the owners who said I could have it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In mine, below each of the gun apertures are two metal rods protruding from the wall. I\u2019m guessing these supported a gun mount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
