Wandering around Rye Harbour back in 2009, bumped into these Road Block Cylinders.

Scant evidence for an anti tank vertical rail roadblock. There is evidence of another round the junction to the right in the first picture, as well as definite signs in a previous post.

These Tetrahedra formed part of the XII corps stopline (Dover to Whitstable). They were moulded at a large site nearby and deliverd to site by lorry.
A variant type pillbox found only in Northumberland. There are variations , some with HMG loops and others with varying numbers of rifle loops. All have a dog legged entrance with associated loophole.
